The Tour

12 Days
Day 1. Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Nairobi, we will be met and
transferred to our Nairobi hotel. In the afternoon, visit Shelter
childrens Home. Dinner and overnight with this children Nairobi. (D)
Day 2 Nairobi | Kajiado | Machakos
After breakfast, leave for Kajiado to visit the Africa Inland Church
(AIC) station of Kajiado Center for handicapped Maasai children.
Continue to Machakos to visit Scott Theological College and
fellowship with students and staff. We return to our hotel in Nairobi for
the night. (B,L,D)
Day 3 Nairobi | Sweetwaters
After an early morning worship service in Nairobi, drive north to
Sweetwaters Tented Camp, which is situated in the secluded heart of the
Pejeta Rhino Reserve. The camp, a haven for nature lovers, overlooks one of
the busiest waterholes in the reserve, which offers us an unforgettable
opportunity to watch and photograph elephant, giraffe, buffalo and other
plains game. This afternoon we do a game drive in the park and then enjoy
dinner and overnight at the luxurious tented camp in Sweetwaters. (B,L,D)
Day 4 Sweetwaters
Enjoy an early morning game run as well as one in the afternoon. Between the
game runs there is time to rest, swim, or just relax, watching the various
animals come to the waterhole in front of the tents. (B,L,D)
Day 5 Sweetwaters | Nakuru
After breakfast at the camp, depart for Nakuru, arriving in time for lunch.
Following lunch visit with missionaries involved in pioneer missions, and
then mid-afternoon enjoy a game drive of Lake Nakuru National Park, famous
for its large concentration of birds, especially flamingos. Dinner and
overnight at the Lake Nakuru lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 6 Nakuru | Kijabe
Following breakfast at the lodge, depart for Kijabe, perhaps the world's
largest mission station. This afternoon visit the Rift Valley Academy, a
school for over 500 children of missionaries. They represent some 80
different mission organizations in Africa. Tonight will be spent with
missionary hosts for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 7 Kijabe
There will be time today to spend with Kijabe missionaries and visit
Moffat College of Bible, Kijabe Medical Center and Bethany Crippled
Childrens Center. Meals and overnight will again be with missionary
hosts. (B,L,D)
Day 8 Kijabe | Masai Mara
Following breakfast, continue traveling through the Great Rift Valley to the
Masai Mara National Wildlife Reserve, stopping at Siyapei Mission Station
en route. The Mara is the last place in Kenya where great concentrations of
game that existed in the last century can still be seen. It is a land of
breathtaking vistas, a panorama of rolling grassland hills and groves of
acacia woodland. Permanent residents of the Mara include black rhino,
elephant, buffalo, topi, giraffe, and of course, the big cats: lion, cheetah
and leopard. In addition, huge herds of zebra and wildebeest lead an
endlessly nomadic life, crisscrossing from the Serengeti Plains of Tanzania
to the Masai Mara of Kenya. Dinner and overnight at a lodge in the Masai
Mara. (B,L,D)
Day 9 Masai Mara
Today is yours to relax in the wildlife lodge. You may choose to go on both
the early morning pre-breakfast wildlife drive and another one later in the
day. Meals and accommodations at the lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 10 Masai Mara | Kijabe - Nairobi
Return to Kijabe in time for morning worship service. After lunch at Rift
Valley Academy, return to the hotel in Nairobi for dinner and overnight. (B,L,D)
Day 11 Nairobi
Today is free for shopping and visiting interesting sites in Nairobi. This
evening enjoy dinner at The Carnivore, a barbecue-style restaurant near
Nairobi where commercially grown game meats are barbecued and served
directly to the table. Overnight in Nairobi. (B,D)
Day 12 Nairobi
After breakfast, visit Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology
in nearby Karen and enjoy chapel with students from English-speaking
countries of Africa. Visit the Kizuri Bead Factory and have lunch on
your own in Karen. Stop at Giraffe Manor, where orphaned giraffes are
cared-for. The remainder of the afternoon is free for final packing and
sightseeing. Dinner at Tamarind Resturant for Sea Food then transfer to
airport for outbound flight (B,D)

12 Days
Day 1 Thika
Our visitors arrive on a Friday and are picked from the airport by one of
our beautiful and comfortable tour vans. They will spend the night at Blue
Posts Hotel, which is situated about 50km south of Nairobi in a beautiful
town called Thika. This is a beautiful hotel and probably the only one in
the world that is situated between two Water Falls - Chania and Thika
waterfalls. It is also next to the world famous expansive Del Monte
Pineapple Farm.
Day 2 Beat the Jet Lag & Local Tour
On the second day, the visitors are taken around Thika town where they will
in particularly enjoy the scenic vegetation of the world-renowned coffee
plantations and also visit the Fourteen Falls - a river with fourteen falls
at one place - that is a beauty to behold! They will also be shown the areas
where they will be undertaking development/church projects in the coming
week.
Day 3 Lets go to Worship - African Style
This day falls on a Sunday. Our visitors will be taken to attend church in
one of the fastest growing churches in Africa - The Christian Church
International, Thika. It will be an experience of a lifetime to enjoy Spirit
filled worship in a local church.
Later in the Afternoon, the visitors will visit the projects where they will
be working with a briefing with their local co-workers.
Day 4-9 It's Time To Work - for the glory of God
This begins on Monday. The visitors will have one full week work in a
community/church building project. They will work and partner with other
local people to bring up a project that will go a long way in helping the
local community to alleviate poverty, ignorance and disease. Those who wish
to be engaged in evangelistic activities will have the opportunity to go out
in the streets together with local evangelists and win real souls for Jesus.
It will be an exciting and life changing experience for the visitors who
will be involved first-hand to help the locals.
Beginning this Monday, the visitors will leave the hotel and start living
with the locals in specially selected homes. This will help create lasting
relations, cultural exchange moments and harness a deeper understanding of
the daily life of each other. It will be like being in your own home away
from home. What about shared culinary techniques, bonding, friendship, and
devotions, to mention just a few of the benefits.
Day 10 Experience the Diversity of Worship
Our visitors will have the opportunity to go and visit other churches and
gain different experiences of worship among the local people. It can be
organized for the ministers to get an opportunity to minister in music, word
or otherwise in these local churches. A large dinner will be arranged for
all of them together in a local home.
Day 11 & 12 Safari to the African Jungle!
The visitors will proceed to Maasai Mara National Park & Game Reserve. On
the way, they will have the opportunity to experience the scenic Rift
Valley, watch a rich and abundant bird life at Lake Naivasha and enjoy
watching flamingoes at Lake Nakuru.
At Maasai Mara - a world renown Game Reserve featured in Discovery Channel
and other leading world media, the visitors will come face to face with the
rich flora and fauna of our nation. They will watch game such as the
menacing African Lions, Buffalos, Elephants, Antelopes, Leopards, etc in
their very natural habitat. It will be an opportunity for photography and
excitement in the African Jungle. They will also enjoy sleeping in tented
camps and experiencing the beautiful African nights for two wonderful nights
Day 13 Watch More Wild Life & Game
Will start with a game drive at the Maasai Mara and a leisurely drive back
to Nairobi. But we must pass through a Maasai Village and learn about their
culture and ways of life. This is usually a highlight of any safari. Arrive
at Nairobi in the evening where our visitors will head for dinner at
Carnivore Restaurant. This is Nairobi's premier restaurant and one of the
few in the world serving tasty game meat. This will be an experience to
remember. This last night will be spent at Blue Posts Hotel back in Thika.
Day 14 Nairobi
This will be the final day of the exciting missionary safari. There will be
one more group lunch back at our base in Thika where the projects have been
taking place. Host families will now bid their friends farewell.
Finally, in the evening, our visitors will be taken to the Airport where
they will depart for home after an enriching tour of Africa.
