Terms and Conditions
The company is Shalommara Safaris which
is a Kenyan registered company. It is based in
Kenya and our aim is to create a profitable
company which directly affects the lives of our
Kenyan employees.
The company reserves the right to decline any
booking at its discretion.
The company reserves the right to cancel any
booking at any time at the company's sole
discretion in the event that the company
considers the client unsuitable for the tour
booked.
Payments
A tour booked more than 60 days before the date
of departure is subject to a £150.00 non
refundable deposit that must be paid to hold
confirmed arrangements. The balance of the tour
must be paid 60 days before the date of travel,
otherwise the company will treat the booking as
cancelled by the client and the normal
cancellation fees will apply.
A tour booked less than 60 days before departure
is subject to the amount of the tour price being
paid in full.
Cancellation charges
If you wish to cancel your trip you must notify
the company in writing by the same person on the
booking form. Cancellations will come into
effect on the same day as they are received by
the company. The following charges will be
levied.

Once the tour has started no refunds will be
made.
Shalommara Safaris reserves the right to cancel
a tour/transfer for any reason more than 60 days
before departure.
If in rare circumstances the tour is cancelled
within four weeks of departure, for reasons
other than Force Majeure, Shalommara Safaris
wherever possible will do its best to offer an
alternative arrangement.
Force Majeure is any situation or event beyond
the company's control such as war, terrorist
activities, natural or industrial disasters,
fire, adverse weather or road conditions.
Shalommara Safaris reserves the rights to alter
routes, schedules, itineraries, amenities and
modes of transport without prior notice during
the period of the tour, due to circumstance or
events which affect the stated intentions of the
tour/transfer.
Prices
Shalommara Safaris reserves the right to vary
prices at any time before the contract has been
made and in the event that it does, advice will
be given at the time of booking.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about your tour, in the
first instance you should inform your tour
leader so that a remedy can be taken if
possible. Other wise you should make a complaint
in writing within 28 days of the finish of the
tour to the company.
Responsibilities of the Client
By their very nature African Adventures may
involve an element of personal risk and
potential hazard, not normally associated with
holiday tours. Clients must accept these
attendant risks and hazards. Clients must accept
the safety standards, be it accommodation,
transport or other operators are not in the most
part of the same standard as those in their home
country.
It is the clients own responsibility to arrange
suitable insurance with benefits that cover
personal accident, medical expenses,
repatriation, loss or damage to personal effects
and a copy of this must be shown to the tour
leader on request.
It is the clients' responsibility to seek
professional medical advice before travelling
and to take all necessary health precautions and
preventative measures.
All passport and visas, health certificates or
other travel documents required for holiday must
be obtained by the client. Any information or
guidance given by Shalommara Safaris is given in
good faith but without responsibility by the
company.
Clients must obtain onward or return flight
tickets before arrival in Africa. Shalommara
Safaris cannot be held responsible if you are
refused entry to the country through failure to
provide evidence of onward or return travel.
The client must agree to comply with all
reasonable instructions and requests by the tour
leader and agree that the tour leader's decision
shall be final in all matters relating to the
safety, organisation and satisfactory progress
of the tour.
The client accepts that the tour vehicle has the
benefit of limited passenger insurance and
agrees to indemnify the company and its
representatives against any claim in respect of
accident or personal injury, disease or loss of
life caused to, contracted or suffered by the
client during the course of the tour.
Clients must be aware that any likeness of
themselves secured or taken on any tours by the
tour leaders, or representatives, may be used
for promotional or marketing purposes.
In the event of any breach of these
responsibilities, or if the tour leader
considers the actions or health of any members
of the tour is likely to prejudice the safety or
well being of all or any of the members of the
tour or satisfactory progress of the tour, the
client may be asked to leave the tour with no
refund and all liability and responsibility by
the company, will cease.
Responsibilities of the Company
The company accepts responsibility for the
arrangements of the tour and the actions of the
tour leader and employees on the tour whilst
he/she is performing his/her normal duties
associated with running of the tour. This does
not include actions of a purely personal nature.
The company does not accept any liability in
cases of personal injury or death whilst
participating in any activities, such as riding,
game-walking, canoeing, diving etc. organised by
any other operator, even if the activity has
been pre-arranged and included in the tour
price.
The company does not accept any responsibility
for any disease or illness contracted by the
client during or after the tour, but will do its
up most to assist with any such mishaps during
the tour.
The company does not accept responsibility or
liability if a client fails to arrive in time
for the departure of the transfer or tour, and
no compensation will be given on the price paid.
The company accepts no responsibility for a
client's lack of correct travel documentation
and no extra expenses incurred by the client en
route for any reason will be paid for, or lent
in advance, by the company.
The company cannot be held responsible for any
limitations or withdrawal of facilities in the
circumstances of force majeure.
The information given by the company is given in
good faith but no warranty is given that it is
